City police tighten security during BBL Public Hearing


PAGADIAN CITY – City Police operatives had tightened security measures during the Public Hearing of Ad Hoc Committee on Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) held at Executive Hall, Pagadian City on November 28.




City Chief of Police Supt. Glenn M. Dulawan said had apologies the riding pubic and motorists for the temporary inconvenience due to rerouting of vehicles along the city streets near the City Hall Complex and the conduct of random check points along the city entrance and exit.

During the public hearing, the members of Ad Hoc Committee of BBL urged political leaders from Pagadian City and Zamboanga del Sur to consider the proposed measure in the larger context of reforming the political system in the country.

 







The BBL has principally outlined the sharing of wealth and political power between the National and Bangsamoro Regional Governments following ongoing the peace agreement between the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the Government of the Philippines (GPH).

Police implement moral recovery program



PAGADIAN CITY – A total of 97 available personnel of the Pagadian City Police Station under the leadership of City Chief of Police Supt. Glenn M. Dulawan attended the Moral Recovery Program conducted Monday Morning, November 12 at the City Police Station.






Police Community Relation Officer Inspector Psyche VI Labtang Barooquillo said the PNP Integrated Transformation Program was set every Monday at the City Police Station after Flag Raising Ceremony.

Pastor Andy Anota of Glorious Ministry was the guest to discuss that day about “Sympathetic Attitude.”

Pastor Anota said being Sympathetic is a good attitude not only as member of law enforcement agency being watched by the people but also as children of God.

He said a sympathetic person is one who's motivated by compassion.

Compassion to do good and to do what is good not only to all the person he/she meet but also to the organization he/she belongs with.

City Police joins 4th Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill



PAGADIAN CITY – The personnel of the City Police Station had joined the 4th Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill on November 14, 2014 at 9:00 a.m.

Pagadian City chief of Police Supt. Glenn M Dulawan said the Earthquake Drill was in partnership with the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (CDRRMC) coordinator Harold Damada and City Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) warden Fire Senior Insp. Reggy Olmedo.

Dulawan said the drill seeks to intensify the local community’s earthquake preparedness and to strengthen the commitment of local government units (LGUs) for public safety.





















CDRRMC was tasked to lecture about what is earthquake, its causes and the effects and types of hazard generated by earthquake were also included in the discussion.


A scenario on how to respond proper management, the Do's and Don'ts of command during the incident was also explained to the PNP personnel.

Earthquake drills and exercises is very important parts for earthquake preparedness of the government effort in enhancing awareness to the community and to all government agencies.
