PRO9 is in need of 1, 090 new police officers for 2018




        
PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (June 2, 2018) - The Philippine National Police (PNP) is set to recruit a total of 17,935 new Police Officer 1 (PO1) for the calendar year 2018 PO1 regular recruitment program nationwide, Police Official disclosed.
         
PSSUPT Romulo Cleve N Taboso, Chief, Regional Personnel Human Resources Doctrine Development (RPHRDD) said that the 17,935 quota is distributed to the different Police Regional Offices (PRO) and other Police units of the PNP. PRO-9 is allotted 700 for the regular quota exclusively for Public Safety Forces (PSF) in 1st cycle recruitment while another 390 intended for the Attrition quota in 2nd cycle recruitment for a total of 1,090 police recruits intended for the calendar year 2018.
         
PSSUPT Taboso added that the 1st cycle of recruitment is the Public Safety Forces (PSF) regular quota which is set to accept initial requirements on September 17, 2018 for a quota of 700. They are set to take their oath in July 2016.

On the other hand, the 2nd cycle is the PO1 attrition recruitment program, which will commence in October 15, 2018 with a quota of 390. The scheduled oath-taking is in February 16, 2019.
         
The minimum qualifications to become a police officer are as follows:
1. A citizen of the Philippines;
2. A person of good moral character;
3. Must have passed the psychiatric/psychological, drug and physical tests to be administered by the PNP;
4. Must possess a formal baccalaureate degree from a recognized learning institution;
5. Must be eligible;
– PNP Entrance (NAPOLCOM)
– RA No. 1080 (Bar and Board Examinations)
– PD No. 907 (CS eligibility to College Honor Graduates)
6. Must not have been dishonorably discharged from military employment or dismissed for cause from any civilian position in the government;
7. Must not have been convicted by final judgment of an offense or crime involving moral turpitude;
8. Must be at least one meter and sixty-two centimeters (1.62m) in height for male and one meter and fifty-seven centimeters (1.57m);
9. Must weight not more or less than five kilograms (5kg) from the standard weight Corresponding to his/her weight, age, and sex; and
10. Must not be less than twenty-one (21) nor more than thirty (30) years of age.

Applicants will also undergo and must pass the neuro- psychiatric/psychological screening, physical agility test, physical/medical/dental examination, drug test to determine their physical and mental health and the final board interview by the members of the PRO9 screening committee.

As this developed, the PNP is now accepting online application for initial screening and evaluation to the interested qualified, competent and determined applicants for PO1 thru the PNP Online Recruitment Application System (ORAS) website www.regular.pnp-dprm.com.

This ORAS is a web based and a central recruitment application system that simplifies the submission of accomplished PNP PO1 Application Form. Through this, it also addresses queries regarding the recruitment process.

Illegal Cockfighting Activity in Pagadian City


PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (May 3, 2018) - On or about 2:00 PM of May 2, 2018, Intel Operatives from Pagadian CPS received a cellular phone call from a concerned citizen informing that an illegal cockfighting activity is transpiring at Purok Orchid, Barangay Bomba, Pagadian City.

Acting on the said report elements of Pagadian CPS responded to the reported area, thereat, bettors scampered to different direction upon sensing the arrival of the operating team, but the team were able to arrest one (1) Dalmacio Llena Busay, 47 years old, male, married, fishermen and a resident of Purok Orchid, Barangay Bomba, Pagadian City.

Recovered from his possession are the two (2) live fighting cock. Arrested person and items confiscated are now under the custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition. (By Jong Cadion)

City Police conducts IEC on Extremism in Barangay Banale



The personnel of Pagadian City Police Station headed by Chief of Police Supt. Benito O. Recopuerto conducted Information, Education Campaign on Extremism Tuesday at 10:00am in Barangay Banale of this city.

Inspector Gani Mohammad Jailani under the direct supervision and control of the Chief of Police successfully conducted the activity in order to correct the people belief or ideas that are very far from what most people consider correct or reasonable.

The activity ended at about 11:00 am of same date with informative result.

City Police conducts training to Barangay Tanud



The personnel of Pagaadian City Police Station headed by Chief of Police Supt. Benito O. Recopuerto conducted training seminar to Barangay Tanud of Barangay Banale this city Tuesday ar 11:00am.

SPO3 Arnold Genotiva under the direct supervision and control of the Chief of Police led the activity. Speaker also taught the Technique of Arrest and the important of preservation of life.

Gani Mohammad Jailani, Police Community Relation Officer, PCO together with their personnel conducted the lighting of blue Candles held Taclobo stage Plaza Luz this City Monday at 6:00 pm in line with 11th World Autism Day celebration with this year Theme: "Empowering the Women and Girls with Autism."

Driver shot to death by riding in tandem

PAGADIAN CITY (March 29, 2018) – A motorcycle driver was shot to death by a riding in tandem in at Purok Curvada, Dao of this City Wednesday at 10:00 am.

Case investigator PO1 Rolito O Sinajon Jr. identified the victim as Renante Duyag Perolino, 36 years old, male, married, driver/farmer and a resident of Purok Daraan, Barangay Bulawan of this city.

In the initial investigation conducted disclosed that at around 10:00 am the victim was driving motorcycle from Datoc Street corner Pulmones Street, Santa Lucia District going to Barangay Bulawan. Upon reaching at the said place, a motorcycle-riding suspect appeared on his behind and the back rider shot the victim several times causing the victim together with his motorcycle to crash to the ground, PO1 Sinajon Jr said.   

While the victim is on the ground, the suspects fired another shots to the victim and immediately fled towards the direction of the adjacent Barangay Bogo of this city, PO1 Sinajon Jr added.

The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on different parts of his body and brought immediately to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao but the attending physician later declared the victim Dead on Arrival (DOA) at around 10:20 am, Police investigator said.

Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shells of .45 cal and one slug of same caliber to be submitted to PNP Crime Lab at ZSPPO. PNP elements of Pagadian CPS conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the suspects and file appropriate case in court if evidence warrants. City Police conducted PICE for Holy Week


PAGADIAN CITY (March 29, 2018) – SPO4 Abdul Deocani Hawani, CESPO, conducted Police Information Continuing Education (PICE) to all PNP personnel of this station regarding the preparation of this Holy Week yesterday at 8:00 in the morning.

The PICE was under the direct supervision and control of Acting Chief of Police Supt. Benito O. Recopuerto. Topic being discussed was the preparation of the Holy Week to be more vigilant and attentive in performing to their duties.

SPO4 Hawani reminded the PNP personnel that this holiday season is the time of repentance but we must to sacrifice in the call of duty. The activity ended at about 8:30 am of same date with fruitful result.(By JONG CADION)

PAGADIAN CITY (March 9, 2018) – The Pagadian City Police Station headed by Chief of Police PSupt. Benito O. Recopuerto joins the celebration of 2018 National Women's month.

Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) PNCO led by SPO3 Marites Reyes under the supervision of the Police Chief participated and assisted the local council of women of Pagadian city medical and dental mission with free legal aid  at Brgy Kagawasan this city.




PSI Tessette M. Padua, WCPD Officer conducted hanging of Tarpaulin at PCPS kiosk in connection with the National Women's month celebration 2018 with theme: We Make Change Work for Women.

Spo2 Arnold S Genotiva PCR PNCO under the supervision of City Police Chief PSupt. Benito O Recopuerto led the visitation and conducted dialogue counseling and gift giving.

During their visit, they also conducted dialogue and counseling regarding the “ONE MESSAGE, MANY VOICE” the ill effects of Drugs, preventions of rape incidents and any forms of sexual abuse.

The activities is part of the awareness advocacy of this station and also in connection of women’s month celebration.

Suspect arrested for violation of RA 9262

PAGADIAN CITY (March 6, 2018) – The Pagadian City Police operatives successfully arrested Monday afternoon the suspect for Violation of Section of 5 (I) In Relation to Section 6 (F) of RA 9262 otherwise known as Anti- Violence Against Women And Children Act.

City acting Police Chief PSupt. Benito O. Recopuerto identified the suspect as Elvirio Dinglasa Dacal, 60 years old.

The suspect arrested at his residence in Purok Esmeralda A, Barangay San Jose of this city during the conduct of police operation.

The police operatives equipped with Arrest Warrant docketed under criminal case number 13520-2k17 issued by Hon. Dennis P. Vicoy, Presiding Judge, Branch 22, 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City dated February 21, 2018 with bail bond recommended of P60,000.00 for his temporary liberty, Supt Recopuerto said.

The arrested person is now temporarily detained at Pagadian City Detention Center while waiting for court’s disposition.
