City PNP, RPSB and EDO team launch community awareness and development




PAGADIAN CITY (Feb. 13, 2015) – The Pagadian City Police Station and the Regional Public Safety Battalion 9 have jointly conducted a community awareness development activities over the weekend in the nearby barangay of Sto NiƱo this city.

The activity is to strengthen security measures with direct and active participation of the community and to avoid occurrence of unwanted incidents in the City.

Also participated the activity are the members of the Explosives and Ordinance Detection (EOD) for the bomb awareness lecture. The lecture was held at the Brgy. Hall and participated by the members of Barangay Councils, Tanod and women sectors in the community. 



Police Officer-1 Manzano educated the audience by showing to them personally the samples of common use Improvised Explosive Device (IED) of the terrorist, site and the target places of bombing incidents.

Police Inspector Alfon B. Belloan, Chief Operation officer also discussed the Enhanced Anti-criminality campaign 2015-01 (LACAP).

Security plan in place during Peace and Order Council Meeting



PAGADIAN CITY (Feb. 12, 2015) – The Security Plan of Pagadian City was in place in preparation of the 4-day activities of the Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Meet 2015, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) Police Chief of Pagadian City Station Supt. Glenn M. Dulawan said during the City Peace and Order Council meeting.  

The ZPRAA will start on February 25 and ends on February 28.

The City Peace and Order Council (POC) meeting was presided by City Mayor Romeo ‘Tata’ Pulmones at the Executive Function Hall attended by the heads and Chiefs of different agencies City Local Government of Pagadian City.




Supt Dulawan updated the members of the POC on 1st quarter Crime Statistics comparing the records of the same period of last year showing a dramatic decrease of crime incidents.


The OIC of Pagadian City Police Station also informed the council the update of the peace and order situation of Pagadian and anti-criminality campaign activities of the city police to preempt occurrence of crime incidents and to hamper the opportunity of criminals to ply their trade in the City.

100 pupils benefited the feeding and gift giving program by PNP member batch 2011-02


PAGADIAN CITY, (November 11, 2014) --  At least  100 pupils from Camp Abelon Elementary School benefited the feeding program conducted by the members of Philippine National Police (PNP) MASIGASIG BATCH 2011-02 assigned in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur.



                                                             
Inspector Psyc Baroquillo said the feeding program was done by the young and aspiring junior law enforcers at the said school where they undergo their Field Training Program last 2013 in line with their 2nd year anniversary celebration in the service of the PNP organization.






Instead of going out together and have fun by having a party of their own, the members of Batch 2011-02 choose to give their love and care to the children on that day, Baroquillo said.
 
Aside from nutritious and delicious soup with Tetra Pack given to the 100 pupils, the young members of the PNP also distributed school bags with schools supplies, she disclosed.

Bloodletting and Blood Typing Activity




 

 Feb. 11, 2015, PCR team led by PI Barroquillo conducted community assistance and development thru taking part in the Bloodletting and Blood Typing activity of Red Cross Pagadian at Brgy. Tawagan Sur. The activity was hosted by the Brgy. Council of Tawagan Sur, headed by Brgy. Chairman Marcaban and facilitated by Red Cross Pagadian and City Health headed by Dr. Mennabell Marcaban. The activity was in line with the 77th Araw ng Tawagan Sur Celebration. 




Because of the risk of blood borne infections, not everyone can donate blood. Before anyone can donate blood, he/she will be asked to fill out a confidential medical history that included direct questions about behaviors known to carry a higher risk of blood borne infections. Infections that are transmitted through the blood. All of the information from this evaluation is kept strictly confidential by the Red Cross. 



PInsp Psyche Vi Barroquillo voluntarily donate blood during the activity. Although blood donation is a simple, virtually painless process that takes less than an hour to complete, the PCR Officer divulge that it was her first time to donate blood. 


According to Red Cross Pagadian Medical Technologist it is recommended that men only donate blood every 12 weeks (three months) and women only donate every 16 weeks (four months). The minimum period between donations is 12 weeks.
