Two teams of Pagadian City Police Station Personnel visited the historical city of Dapitan on October 20, 2014. The one-day itinerary started from Pagadian City at 7 A.M. and arrived at Dapitan City at 9:30 A.M. proceeding directly to Dakak Park and Beach Resort. Every minute was not wasted as the group enjoyed the amenities of the resort and the thrill of the rides, not to mention the longest zipline in Asia.
After a sumptuous lunch, the vacationers hurried back to the city proper and relished the serene atmosphere of Rizal Park. A nostalgic feeling enfolded them as they entered the preserved place of our national hero.
The highlight of the visit is a basketball friendship game against personnel of Dapitan City Police Station whom they easily beat, or maybe it was just a graceful gesture of hospitality by the host station. The game fostered friendship and camaraderie and it was very memorable experience. A "boodle fight" dinner followed at the sunset boulevard with the backdrop of a panoramic sunset.
To complete the tour, the group passed by "Disembarco" and Gloria Fantasyland as they left Dapitan City. A sideline trip to Dipolog City complemented the travel and finally returned to Pagadian City. The trip was a real fresher from the daily routine work.
The duties and functions in the station were not compromised because all the personnel who joined the tour were on off-duty on that day. This will become a regular activity of this station in the months to come as part of boosting the morale of the personnel.
