CDRRMC together with the PNP and Military will conduct Bomb Awareness and Education Campaign in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (August 27, 2014-PCR News) --- The City Disaster Risk Reduction Council CDRRMC) and Peace and Order Council headed by Hon. Ernesto Mondarte together with the Explosive Ordinance Disposal (EOD) from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and Philippine Army-Armed Forces of the Philippines (PA-AFP) will be holding a one week Bomb Awareness Education Campaign in Pagadian City, City Hall Official said.

CDRRMC coordinator Haron Damada said that two teams were organized to conduct  bomb awareness and campaign activities in Pagadian City and started this morning today.


Damada said the activities is the implementation of the action plan by the City Peace and Order Council to anticipate any man-made calamities that will happen anytime to disrupt the peace and order condition of the city.    

The first activity was conducted this morning by the Team A was the visitation of the hotels, motels, pension and lodging houses for the orientation and awareness to management and employees.


In the afternoon at 1:00 PM for the same activity the Team B conducted at the Integrated Bus Terminal attended by the vendors, drivers, conductors and security personnel while the Team A conducted at the City Agora Public Market.


At 8:00 PM the Team A conducted the bomb awareness and education campaign at the City Commercial Center (C3 Mall) while the Team B was in the Gaisano Capital Mall. The activities were attended by the mall operators, workers and security personnel. 


Damada also said that tomorrow’s activities will be conducted at the different government offices and the following day will be at the different schools in the city.
